Blue for all-round freezing conditions, Pink UHW for old or abrasive snow, Black New Snow for fresh snow. NFX Extra Tuned puts fluor-free race wax into a sponge bottle. The condition-specific wax base, NFX and OLOS ingredients are already combined; you do not need to mix separate powders to obtain this formula.
| Variant | Conditions | Size / SKU |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | −2 to −12 °C; all snow types | 60 ml / 4736 |
| Pink UHW | +5 to −20 °C; old, coarse and artificial snow | 60 ml / 4735 |
| Black New Snow | +5 to −10 °C; new snow | 60 ml / 4737 |
Pink's wide temperature range does not make it the automatic choice for fresh snowfall. Start with Black for new snow within its range. Blue provides an all-snow option below freezing. NFX makes sense for racing or focused training where condition-specific glide matters. For routine ski maintenance, NF Sisu or the G Series may cover the job.
NFX liquid works as a standalone wax. Applying it over a completed race-wax preparation is another option, not a requirement. For this hand-applied routine, cleaning equipment and a nylon brush are sufficient. No iron, scraper or merino rotary tool is required.
Do not pick Pink simply because its temperature scale is widest when the snow is freshly fallen. Do not brush the wax while wet: let it dry first. If the base is dirty, clean it before adding another layer.
If using Gold Liquid topcoat, complete the NFX layer first. Gold is the last step: spread it, let it dry for five minutes and do not brush it. Gold is optional; NFX does not require a separate topcoat to work. Keep glide wax away from skins and classic grip zones.
