If your glide zones are collecting dirt, clean them before adding another layer of wax. SISU Glide Cleaner removes contamination while leaving a thin, hard wax layer on the base. That layer can support your next glide wax or provide glide on its own, particularly on dirty artificial snow.

The 60 ml bottle is a compact choice for a small waxing kit; 170 ml gives you a larger supply for the same job. Use either size on glide zones. On classic and skin skis, keep the kick zone or skin separate from this treatment.

Cleaning in the right order

1. Shake the container before use.
2. Apply cleaner to a clean fibre cloth and wipe the glide zones. Move to a clean section as the cloth collects dirt.
3. Allow around 3 minutes to dry. The surface should be dry before you continue.
4. Finish with a clean nylon brush.
5. Add a snow-specific glide wax if needed, following that wax’s own drying and finishing instructions.

Can it replace a separate glide wax?

On dirty artificial snow, the cleaning action and remaining wax film may be all you need for a straightforward session. Choose a dedicated wax when you want to match the coating more closely to temperature and snow type. The G Series liquid waxes are one way to make that choice without hot waxing.

A common mistake is repeatedly waxing over dirt. Another is stopping after wiping and missing the nylon-brushing step. Complete the cleaning routine before deciding whether the ski needs a different wax. Cleaner cannot repair base damage.

Match the cleaner to the surface

Use Skin Cleaner on mohair grip inserts and Wax Remover to remove kick wax. SISU Cleaner contains wax and serves a different purpose from those products.

You need a cloth and nylon brush. An iron, scraper and cork are unnecessary for this routine. If suitable cleaning materials are already in your kit, there is no reason to buy them again.
