Choose White for all-round glide and base preparation; Hard Black for a hard layer on black ski bases, especially in cold new snow or abrasive conditions. Both NF Sisu liquids are rated for all temperatures. Their different roles matter more than a temperature split.
| Variant | Best reason to choose it | Size / SKU |
|---|---|---|
| White | Training, base preparation and a base or intermediate layer beneath other glide waxes. All temperatures. | 60 ml / 4725 |
| Hard Black | A hard layer for black bases, especially in cold new snow and coarse, abrasive conditions. All temperatures. | 60 ml / 4726 |
White is a sensible starting point for routine training wax and base preparation. Hard Black adds a choice for conditions that demand a hard surface. Both can be used on their own, so a separate race topcoat is optional. For a specifically condition-matched race wax, see NFX Extra Tuned.
This liquid layer needs no iron or scraper. Full preparation of a new or freshly ground ski can involve additional stages; this routine describes applying the liquid wax.
Alongside the fluor-free 60 ml sponge bottle, the basics are cleaner, fibre cloth and a nylon brush. Cork, merino rotary tools and powders are not needed for this hand-brushing method.
Use Hard Black for base preparation on black ski bases. Let the wax dry properly before hand brushing; shorter waiting times from other application methods do not apply to this routine. More wax will not correct a dirty base or missing brushing. Keep glide wax off skins and classic grip zones.
