Rex Assembly Grease is a vaseline based on the same technology as $RexDomestique$ chain oil. In practice, this is an ultra-dense and thicker version of it. The composition has been developed from the ground up for metal-to-metal applications where friction, dirt and moisture are the greatest stress. Assembly Grease forms a strong, even film on surfaces that repels dirt, is water resistant and maintains its lubricating properties in cold weather and under heavy mechanical pressure.

Grease is not based on industrial petroleum jelly, but is made at the Rex factory from pure and carefully selected waxes, oils and vaseline. The quality is close to pharmacy quality and is reflected in how the grease behaves in practice. It spreads evenly and does not separate in the cold, nor does it melt itself off the surface when warm. The PTFE and perfluorinated wax structure produce a film on the surface that remains durable and friction remains low regardless of load.

Assembly Grease contains a separate corrosion inhibitor, the effect of which is most pronounced in bearing housings, hubs and headsets. Salt moisture, water and temperature fluctuations are conditions where regular Vaseline begins to lose its structure. Rex's composition tolerates these much better and keeps the metals apart without squeezing out the lubricating film.

The product has been tested in all possible bicycle applications all year round. It works in guide bearings, hubs, freewheels, threads and suspension joints. When the grease stays in place, dirt cannot get in and the service life of the bearings is significantly extended. This is the grease to use when you want reliable protection and the most unobtrusive mechanical feel in every joint of the bike.
