The valve opening in a disc wheel is tight and a normal pump head is often too large or approaches at the wrong angle. The SILCA Disc Wheel Adapter is a short press-on chuck that gets air into the Presta valve without a long improvised hose arrangement.

The adapter threads into a pump or compressor head with a Schrader fitting. Its red gasket then presses onto the disc wheel's Presta valve. Knurled surfaces on the aluminium body provide a secure grip even when the valve sits deep inside the wheel opening.

An adjustable and replaceable seal

The 252 gasket seals around the Presta valve. Turning the end cap increases gasket compression as it wears. When the gasket eventually becomes dry, cracked or starts to leak, it can be replaced without replacing the complete adapter.

SILCA machines the body from 6061 aluminium. The adapter is rated above 300 PSI which also makes it suitable for the high tyre pressures used on the track.
