Choose Blue for freezing conditions and Violet for mild weather around zero. Original offers two straightforward choices for maintaining ski glide without a waxing iron: Blue covers −2 to −15 °C, Violet +5 to −2 °C. Both are intended for all snow types within their ranges.
Each fluor-free wax comes in a 60 ml sponge bottle. It suits regular ski outings and training, with a simple routine: apply, allow at least 20 minutes to dry and finish with a nylon brush.
| Variant | Conditions | Size / SKU |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | −2 to −15 °C; all snow types below freezing | 60 ml / 4232 |
| Violet | +5 to −2 °C; mild weather and light frost, all snow types | 60 ml / 4252 |
Start with Blue if most of your skiing takes place in freezing weather. Add Violet for warmer days. For a choice specifically aimed at new snow or strongly abrasive snow, explore the G Series variants.
On skating skis, treat the glide base. On classic and skin skis, keep glide wax away from the grip zone and skin. It does not replace grip wax or skin care.
Cleaner, fibre cloth and a nylon brush complete the basic routine. The applicator is included on the bottle. You do not need an iron, scraper, cork or rotary brush for this method. For hot waxing, choose Original Blue solid glide wax.
If glide feels wrong, check cleanliness, drying and brushing first. Clean a dirty base before rewaxing. As the weather warms, adding more Blue will not extend its temperature range. Liquid wax cannot repair a damaged base, and wear varies with snow conditions: there is no fixed mileage promise.
