A simple plastic wax scraper is useful when you need to lift residue during ski cleaning. Rex 602 is a shaped plastic multiscraper for that kind of maintenance. It is a separate tool from a broad acrylic scraper or a dedicated groove scraper.

Choose the tool by the material being removed and the surface beneath it. For scraping hot glide wax from the flat base, use a purpose-made 3 mm acrylic scraper. A groove scraper handles the centre channel.

Scraping as part of cleaning

1. Identify the area and choose a suitable working edge.
2. Lift loose wax residue with controlled movements. Remove accumulated wax from the scraper as you work.
3. Continue with a cleaner suitable for the surface and a clean fibre cloth when required.
4. Let the treated area dry as directed before applying new wax.

For old kick wax, Wax Remover and a cloth provide the cleaning stage after excess residue is lifted. A scraper alone does not replace wiping when wax or dirt remains.

Use it on the intended surface

Shaped edges do not guarantee a fit for every groove or base. Check the contact point rather than forcing an edge into place. Do not scrape a skin insert with this tool.

If your liquid-wax method has no scraping stage, the multiscraper is not an essential purchase. Cleaner, cloth and nylon brush may already cover that routine.

Supplied as one plastic multiscraper. If you have a suitable, undamaged scraper already, there is no need to duplicate it merely because it has a different product name.
