The Fenix BC45R is a 3300-lumen rechargeable bike light built for fast mountain biking, gravel riding, bikepacking and demanding night rides. Its independently controlled spot and flood beams provide both a maximum beam distance of 286 metres and broad illumination around the trail.

A wireless remote, OLED display, quick-release mount and two replaceable 3400 mAh 18650 batteries are included.

Beam shape matters more than the maximum lumen number

For fast riding in darkness, usable beam shape matters more than a short burst of maximum output. The BC45R combines one long-range Luminus SFT-40 LED with a wide flood beam produced by four Luminus SST12 LEDs.

The spot beam reaches down the trail to reveal corners, descents and obstacles early. The flood beam illuminates the area directly ahead and around the edges of the trail.

Either beam can be used alone or both can be combined. This allows the beam pattern to be adjusted according to speed, terrain and the required runtime.

Wireless control from the handlebar

The included wireless remote controls the spot and flood beams separately. It also provides direct access to Turbo and Flash modes.

Output and beam pattern can be changed without removing a hand from the handlebar. This is especially useful on technical trails, fast descents and terrain where lighting requirements change quickly.

The light can also be controlled using its own buttons.

OLED display with real-time information

The integrated OLED display shows:

The BC45R remembers the last normal mode used and includes an electronic lockout to prevent accidental activation during transport.

Two replaceable 18650 batteries

The BC45R is powered by two included Fenix ARB-L18-3400 rechargeable batteries. Each battery has a capacity of 3400 mAh.

Both batteries are replaceable, extending the usable life of the light and allowing a charged spare pair to be carried for long rides.

The batteries charge inside the light through USB-C. Charging takes approximately 3.5 hours with a 9 V / 2 A power source. Selected lower-output modes can also be used while connected to a compatible power bank.

Built for demanding trail riding

The A6061-T6 aluminium body is designed for effective heat management and demanding use. Intelligent thermal protection automatically reduces output if the light becomes too hot and restores output as the temperature falls.

IP66 protection shields the light from dust, rain and powerful water jets. The BC45R is also rated to withstand an impact from 1.5 metres.

The quick-release mount fits handlebars from 22 to 35 mm using the included shims. The light can be removed quickly for charging and secure storage.

The Turbo runtime is the total ANSI/PLATO FL1 runtime during which output decreases from 100 percent to 10 percent. The light does not remain at a constant 3300 lumens for the full three hours.
