The Exposure Maxx-D 17 is part of Exposure's revamped 2026 light line-up and is designed for riders who want a powerful yet controlled front light for demanding off-road and gravel riding. The Maxx-D 17 combines high light output, intelligent power control and a significantly lighter design into a package that works naturally both on technical rides and long night rides.

The light produces a measured 4850 lumens with a completely new combination optic. Two 16-degree spot beams provide long range and good visibility on fast sections, while a wide 45×15-degree oval beam provides lateral visibility on bends and technical terrain. The result is a light pattern that illuminates the entire route and gives the rider constant situational awareness even when the speed changes rapidly.

Maxx-D 17 is Designed and manufactured in the UK from CNC machined 6063 aluminium . The structure is optimised for thermal management, and the Intelligent Thermal Management system automatically adjusts the power of the LED elements according to temperature. This allows for consistent light output and good efficiency even over long periods of time without the light getting too hot or dimming uncontrollably.

The light's intelligent operation is based on the Reflex 2.0 system, which automatically adjusts the light output according to the riding situation. In fast and demanding sections, the output increases, while in calmer riding, the light dims to save battery. The system uses a gyroscope, acceleration sensors and thermal sensors and continuously analyzes riding. In practice, the light often reacts to riding faster than the rider has time to adjust the settings themselves.

The Maxx-D 17 is equipped with a new color OSD+ display that shows real-time light status, remaining runtime and system status. The internal 16,000 mAh Li-Ion battery provides 2-36 hours of runtime depending on the selected program. USB-C Power Delivery fast charging allows for fast charging and use with power banks. The Power Bank function allows the light to also charge other devices if necessary.

The light is built to withstand heavy use. The IP67 rating protects against water and dust, and the IK09 rating indicates the impact resistance of the frame. The 326 gram weight makes the Maxx-D 17 lighter and quieter on the handlebar, which is especially noticeable on technical riding and longer rides. The included aluminum Quick Release handlebar mount allows for quick removal and secure attachment.

The package includes the Exposure Maxx-D Mk17 light, an aluminum QR handlebar mount, a USB-C charging cable and charger. The light has a two-year warranty and the manufacturer provides a lifetime warranty on the LED elements.
