Choose nylon for the finishing stage once the wax is ready to brush. Rex 622 suits dried liquid glide wax and the final brushing step after hot waxing. It is a hand brush, so no powered equipment is needed.
For hot wax, nylon does not take the place of scraping and clearing the base structure. Liquid wax follows a shorter sequence: clean, apply, dry and nylon brush according to the wax instructions.
The 54 × 86 mm small nylon brush makes sense when compact size is the priority. Choose this model if you prefer a larger body in the hand. Both perform nylon’s finishing role; you do not need both for the same basic job.
Rex uses “semi-hard” for item 622 in English and on the label, although its Finnish product name calls it hard nylon. Item number 622 identifies this model.
Brushing wet wax cannot replace drying. A dirty base needs cleaning before new wax. Check those stages first if the finish is disappointing.
Keep the glide brush clean and separate from sticky kick wax. If you already have a suitable nylon brush, continue using it. A rotary brush is not required to carry out this finishing step.
