Choose Liquid Blue for straightforward grip waxing on waxable classic skis in freezing conditions. Its range is −2 to −15 °C. The liquid forms a thin layer without rubbing on a tin wax or corking it smooth.

When liquid grip makes sense

It suits a simple frost-day preparation when your skis do not need a thick kick-wax layer. This is grip wax for the middle of the ski, not glide wax. Keep it off glide zones and skin inserts.

If the ski needs several layers to grip, Original hard kick wax gives more control over wax height. On coarse, glazed, icy tracks, consider liquid klister rather than choosing by temperature alone.

Application

1. Remove old wax that does not suit the conditions, clean the measured kick zone and let it dry. Use Wax Remover if needed.
2. Shake the bottle and apply a thin, even layer to the kick zone.
3. Let the layer dry before testing the skis. Follow the drying directions on the bottle. No corking or brushing is needed.
4. Test the grip. If a thin liquid layer is insufficient, consider building the kick zone with hard wax.

Rex also allows liquid grip wax over other grip waxes. The old layer still needs to suit the new conditions; continually covering an unsuitable layer is rarely a useful fix.

Tools and troubleshooting

You need cleaning supplies. Applying this liquid needs no cork, brush or waxing iron. If the grip wax wears off quickly, Liquid Base Klister provides a binder underneath.

Slipping: check drying, the conditions and the kick zone. Extra liquid may not solve an overly stiff ski. Icing or drag: remove the ice, check for an overly thick or long layer and change the preparation to suit the snow.
